Beat the Summer Heat!

Looking to beat the summer damage on your hair? Sante stylists have put together a quick list of tips to help keep your hair looking great, check it out...
  1. Tap first. Chlorine will turn blond's green, dry out even the healthiest of locks and fade the rest of you. Before getting into chlorinated water, saturate hair with tap water to prevent hair from soaking up chlorine.

  2. Tap after. Rinse your hair after you're done swimming in tap water. The faster you get the chlorine out the better.

  3. SPF your hair. Sunlight can be just as damaging to your hair as it is to your skin. Use products containing SPF or UV protectant to help prevent your color from fading. We recommend Lanza Swim & Sun Shampoo and Conditioner with SPF 30.

  4. Wet hair stretches, dry hair shrinks. Avoid pulling wet hair into a tight ponytail because when it dries you'll find a lot more damage than you started with. Instead go for a braid or a loose bun to avoid breakage.

  5. Treat it nicely. Apply a deep conditioner once weekly with a plastic cap for 10-15 minutes to hydrate and strengthen your hair. We recommend Moroccan Oil products including the Restorative Hair Masque, Moroccan Oil Hydrating Mask and Glimmer Shine Spray (with SPF). Don't have time to make it to the store? Let a little olive oil sit on your damp locks to give your hair a quick pick me up.
Happy Sunbathing!
